What Phase Shift does
Phase Shift puts your ship into a quantum state for a few seconds. Enemy bullets and enemy ships pass straight through you without doing any damage, and your weapons keep firing the whole time.
It's the starter power, free from level 1, so it's the first one most players learn to use well.
How to use Phase Shift
- Save it for the moment a wall of enemy fire is about to reach you, not for the opening seconds of a wave.
- Enemy ships can't hurt you while it's active, so it's a good way to slip behind a tough squad.
- Your guns stay on, so you never have to stop attacking to stay safe.
Upgrading Phase Shift
You can make any power last longer by spending Fuel Cells on it. The first extra second costs 1 Fuel Cell, the second costs 2, and so on up to 5 Fuel Cells per second, which is where the price stays after that.
