What Vortex does

Vortex creates a rotating gravitational vortex in the middle of the battlefield. Enemy projectiles are pulled into orbit around it, become unstable and are flung outward into the enemy ships.

You turn the enemy fleet's own firepower against them.

How to use Vortex

  • It works best when enemies are firing a lot, because more bullets means more damage coming back.
  • Keep your own distance from the center while it spins.
  • Great against crowded formations that fire together.

Upgrading Vortex

You can make any power last longer by spending Fuel Cells on it. The first extra second costs 1 Fuel Cell, the second costs 2, and so on up to 5 Fuel Cells per second, which is where the price stays after that. You can also unlock Vortex before level 30 by spending 15 Fuel Cells.
